4th of July!

This is way overdue!!!!

This July Nanny and Pappy came to visit and watch the fireworks with us.  We had a great time and wished they could have stayed longer!  And for those of you counting - this was the FIRST visit where Pappy was no roped into fixing something at the house!!!

We went to the Topeka Zoo one day and introduced Nanny and Pappy to all of our animal friends.  We also took them on the small train at the park, it was a fun day.

For the first time in gosh I don't know how many years, we all went to see the fireworks.  It Lawrence they shoot them off over the River and make a day of celebrating in one of the parks downtown.  We arrived around 8:15 or so and had to wait.  Waiting is not one of Conner's best traits...but with 4 grown adults we all found way to entertain the little man until the big event.  Needless to say, about 5 minutes into the display Conner is in Brett's arms and telling his to "ask them to turn it down - the bangs are too loud!"

 We had a great visit and wished to more time - but we all had to go off to work.  Conner was a big helper and loaded the car.  Until next time Nanny and Pappy!!
