Go Pack Go!

In case you all didn’t know – the Green Bay Packers are going to the Super Bowl!  I thought you might want to see my two boys celebrating the Pack!

Conner learned two new phases during the game:
  • Go Pack GO!
  • Run, Run RUN I SAID!!

Oh and by the way, it’s not just about the football…it was all about the taco dip!!
Here’s to an exciting Super Bowl – Packers vs. Steelers!

Christmas in Minnesota - SNOW!

This holiday season found the Popps heading north once again!  This Christmas we decided to fly since Brett has just a few days off.

We got into MN and Conner was excited to see Nana and Pappy…then he saw all the snow and he could not wait until we got to Nana and Pappy’s house so he could put on his snow pants!  The snow was the clear favorite activity of the season.  Conner and Jackson wanted to help shovel every day, unfortunately for Pappy, shoveling for Conner meant taking the snow from the snow banks and putting it on the sidewalk.   Every time Pappy shoveled snow off the sidewalk, Conner was right behind putting the snow back on!  If the boys could have gone sledding everyday – they would have!

Cookie decorating was a BIG hit with the boys.  The strangest thing was that all the cookies that Conner decorated seemed to be missing arms or legs and have small Conner sized finger swipes missing out of the frosting…

Christmas Eve dinner was a smaller family affair this year.  Nana got both the boys the cutest red sweaters.  Trying to get the two boys to sit together long enough for a photograph was almost impossible!

Christmas morning found the boys up and rearing to go at about 5:30…Emma and I were able to get them to stay upstairs so that they wouldn’t scare away Santa.  When they hear Santa – they both rushed down the stairs and were excited to see the boxes and stuffed stockings.  The favorite toys of the season was a train from mom and dad, a puzzle to share with Jackson from Nana and Pappy and a huge crayon can from Aunt Emma, Tony and Jackson.

After Christmas we had to say good-bye to daddy because he had to get back to Kansas to work.  Conner and mommy got to stay a little longer and play!  We all went to the Children’s Museum and the Zoo!  At the Children’s museum Conner and Jackson ran around and did everything from water play to driving a bus.

We had such a wonderful time playing with Nana and Pappy and out buddy Jackson.  We even got to share a room with Jackson.  SO MUCH FUN!!

Thanksgiving in Wisconsin

After some long flights we all arrived safe and modestly sound in Appleton.  We were greeted by Grandma Chris and her new car!  It was so cute to watch Conner and Grandma run towards each other as we made it to the baggage claim.  Grandma and Aunt Ande had some wonderful adventures planned for us all!

First was our annual family gathering in Green Bay with all the family and the new additions.  Great food, good football and 2 excited/over stimulated toddler boys lead to hours of entertainment.  The moms were able to corral the boys long enough for some pictures…we are going to have to get aunt Julie to send us some…

Our second adventure was a great place called “Monkey Joes”.  It is an indoor place area with tons of large inflatable climbing structures.  Uncle Scott and mom got a workout chasing the boys up and down the slides and obstacle courses.  The boys gave us a workout! (Mom and Scott were the lightest and only non-pregnant of the parents, I don’t know about Scott but I slept really well that night.)

I can do it myself mommy!

The best adventure we had is still being talked out at our house.  We got to go on the Polar Express adventure!  We all went to the train museum in Green Bay and got to ride the Polar Express all the way to the North Pole.  We listened to a storyteller, drink hot cocoa, ride a real train, sing songs, ring sleigh bells and when we made it to the North Pole – we got to meet Santa!  Needless to say it was such a toddler mind-blowing experience, that it is stilled talked about!!
All Aboard!

Thanks for some really great Thanksgiving memories!

Oh and we must not forget Isaac!!!  Conner and Isaac were inseparable during this thanksgiving.  For a few weeks after we got back Conner would wake up and ask when Isaac was coming over…

Happy New Year

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you one and all!
To start the year off on the right foot, I am going to try and keep you all updated on the comings and goings of our little family here in Kansas.  (Which means you will all have a few new/old posts to read soon.)

The Popps welcomed the New Year with our annual first cold of the season!  This year it came in three wonderful sizes - papa bear, mama bear and baby bear sized!
We are also getting used to the lack of snow here in Kansas this year.  We had a dusting this morning and Conner was GLUED to the window and shouting – “We have snow like Nana and Pappy!  Let’s go shovel!”  Too bad it’s already starting to melt.

We wish you all a wonderful New Year!  Hugs, kisses and warm wishes from the Popps!
